Visit https://www.medmij.nl/pgo/ to see which personal health environments (PGOs) meet the MedMij safety requirements and which are linked to Volgjezorg.

PGO in Dutch stands for 'Persoonlijke Gezondheidsomgeving', a Personal Health Environment. If a PGO has a MedMij label, this personal health environment meets very strict safety requirements.

You can read more information about MedMij  https://www.medmij.nl/medmij-label/

MedMij is the Dutch standard for the safe exchange of health data between you and healthcare providers. MedMij is therefore a kind of quality mark. All Personal Health Environments (or PGOs in Dutch) that meet MedMij safety requirements may use the MedMij label. Visit www.medmij.nl for more information.

A PGO is short for 'Persoonlijke Gezondheidsomgeving', or a personal health environment. This can be a website or app where you can keep track of digital information about your own health. A personal health environment is different from a patient portal of, for example, a hospital or pharmacy. In a personal health environment you can collect and manage your medical data from various healthcare providers. But you can also share these with, for example, other healthcare providers. More information about PBLs can be found at https://www.medmij.nl/pgo/

'Yes' means your healthcare provider has successfully requested and received your data through the National Exchange Point.

'Partly' means your healthcare provider has not received your medical data from all healthcare providers you have given your permission to.

'No' means your healthcare provider has not been able to view your data from any of the healthcare providers you have given your permission to.

You can find more information in the 'Details' column. The reasons shown are explained in greater detail below.

Under 'Request'

  • Your healthcare provider is not authorised to request your data. A healthcare provider may only request data through the National Exchange Point if he is in possession of a special card and password. The healthcare provider's specialism determines whether he has access to the National Exchange Point. See 'Security and Privacy' for more information.
  • You have not (yet) given permission for sharing your medical data. If it is necessary for your treatment, your healthcare provider may request your medical data through the National Exchange Point. But if you have not (yet) given permission to your doctor and / or your pharmacy, your healthcare provider will not receive any data. See 'Permission' for more information.
  • Your healthcare provider is not part of the regional partnership. The National Exchange Point is divided into 44 regions. Healthcare providers may only exchange information within those regions. See 'Regionalisation' for more information.
  • There was a technical error. This could, for example, mean the network or information system of one of your healthcare providers was not working properly.

Under 'Transfer'

  • There was a technical error. This could, for example, mean the network or information system of one of your healthcare providers was not working properly.

In your Personal Portal, in the Permissions overview, you can see which healthcare providers you have given permission for sharing your medical data with other healthcare providers.

You can also see who has viewed your medical data in the overview of Exchanged Information.
